About Christian Noval

Christian Ditlev von Zastrow Noval er katolsk præst og teolog, ordineret i 1994 for Københavns Katolske bispedømme (Den katolske Kirke i Danmark). Han har en doktorgrad (S.T.D.) fra Universität Bonn (2018) og en licentiatgrad i Hellig Skrift (S.S.L.) fra det Pontificale Bibelske Institut i Rom (1997).

Christian Ditlev von Zastrow Noval is a Catholic priest and theologian, ordained in 1994 for the Catholic Diocese of Copenhagen. He holds a doctorate (S.T.D.) from the Universität Bonn (2018) and a licentiate in Sacred Scripture (S.S.L.) from the Pontifical Biblical Institute in Rome (1997).

Hans akademiske speciale er ungdommens teologiske antropologi — et felt han har bidraget til gennem forskning, internationale konferencebidrag og publikationer i anerkendte tidsskrifter. Hans afhandling Wired for Holiness (2018) er et grundlæggende bidrag til feltet, baseret på David Kelseys teologi.

His academic speciality is the theological anthropology of youth — a field to which he has contributed through research, international conference presentations, and publications in peer-reviewed journals. His dissertation Wired for Holiness (2018) is a foundational contribution to the field, based on David Kelsey's theology.

Siden 2024 er han medlem af det Gamle Testamentes redaktionsudvalg for den nye danske bibeloversættelse (forventet udgivet 2036), og han er aktiv i IASYM's eksekutivkomité.

Since 2024 he has been a member of the Old Testament editorial board for the new Danish Bible translation (expected 2036), and he serves on the executive committee of IASYM.

Christian Noval arbejder til dagligt som teologisk konsulent på det katolske bispekontor.

Christian Noval works at the Catholic diocesan office as a theological consultant.
